The Aviator Front.

If you've been keeping up and listening to my posts...a lot of my music has been alternative hip-hop. Alternative hip-hop has a melodic, less lyrical tone. The beats are much more pop based with a predominant electronic sound and the lyrics are usually less street/"hard" as straight up rap. Alternative hip-hop has also proven to be a segway for the suburban, white rapper into hip-hop culture. Personally I see hip-hop slowly shifting to a much more pop sound. Prime example would be Kid Cudi. Lyrically and melodically, Cudi is a pop artist but his fan base is pretty much the hip-hop nation. Bold statement but, Hip-Hop may very well be dead.

Aviator is outta Boston University and is another white, college student who is digging into rap. He opened for Kid Cudi at The House of Blues in Boston and kept it real from what I hear. His production is pretty out there but he flows and lyrically- he holds it down. Spin the Track.

"This mixtape was made for you to enjoy. This mixtape was made for anyone who ever wondered what happened to rap that didn't rely on a catchy beat and hook to mask embarrassingly weak verses. My music could probably be described as intricate wordplay over infectious, electronic beats. I'm basically making the music that I want to hear. For this mixtape, I chose beats from underground producers that deserve ears.
By all means, spread this around, tell your friends, tell friends of your friends, and let them know something truly epic is happening on the Aviator front."-Aviator
