I came across this song and a great entry about it and music as a whole on pigeonsandplanes.com. Basically the blogger was agreeing with my earlier notion that hip-hop is undergoing a vast transformation and dudes like
Xaphoon Jones and
Chiddy from the duo Chiddy Bang are pioneering the way. Coincidentally,
Reinvention is a two-man crew who met at Drexel University, just like Chiddy and Xaphoon, and they happen to be doing similar things in the same studio Chiddy Bang met up. Crazy rite? This song samples the indie-electronic band
Florence and The Machine and if you're into Chiddy Bang, you're gonna fux with
Reinvention.
