Throwback Track: De La Soul-Oooh

[There is another version with a longer intro to the video but its hard to come by]

If you haven't heard of this legendary trio do your homework and get your knowledge up asap. In the 90s De La Soul made countless hits and anthems and their talent was still prominent in the early 2000s when they released this track off of their 5th Album [Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump]. Back in the day, when MtV was more than just Tru Life, 16 and pregnant, and The Jersey Shore...music videos were essential in the promotion and overall perception of a song/artist. De La Soul's "Oooh." is the ultimate music video. Its got a developed theme and story line (a parody of The Wiz and The Wizard of Oz), features comedian Dave Chappelle, and utilizes humor and public interest to leave an impression of the music through both sound and vision. This is one of my favorite tracks of all time and the video might be the best I've ever seen. Enjoy the genius of producer Prince Paul and guest Redman who worked with De La to make a classic. "Get your party on" and... Spin the track.
